About the Team


Agne Limante, PhD

Agne is a MA candidate in EU Law at King’s College London. Before enrolling with King’s, she studied at Vilnius University (Lithuania) from where she holds Masters (2005) and PhD (2010) diplomas, and Utrecht University (the Netherlands).

Agne has experience working for pan-Baltic law firm (2005-2009), the Lithuanian embassy (2009-2010), as well as teaching. During the years 2005-2008 she was lecturing at Vilnius University (EU Law and Public International Law), 2009-2010 at Khazar University in Azerbaijan (EU Law and Human Rights), and from 2011 she is a guest lecturer in several universities in Macedonia (FYROM). Agne is always interested in research projects and publishing and cannot live without traveling.


Adrienne Yong, LL.M

Adrienne is a first year PhD candidate at King’s College London under the supervision of Dr. Cian Murphy and Prof. Andrea Biondi. She recently completed an LLM (EU Law) at King’s after graduating from Durham University with an LLB (Hons). Adrienne’s interests lie in many aspects of EU Law, especially EU citizenship, fundamental rights and the fundamental freedoms relating to persons in the Internal Market. Her PhD thesis will examine the role of fundamental rights in the development of Union citizenship. Adrienne is also the King’s Student Law Review Copy Editor and has blogged for EUtopia Law. She also loves cooking and baking.




Jose Manuel Panero Rivas, LL.M

Jose is a MA candidate in Economics of Competition Law at King’s College London. He already holds a Post Graduate Diploma in the same subject, also from King’s College London. Before enrolling with King’s, he studied at the College of Europe, Bruges, from where he holds an LL.M in European Law. He is also a practicing lawyer in an international law firm in Brussels dealing with EU Law and Competition Law cases. He has broad interests in EU Law and Competition Law and Economics, with a particular expertise in antitrust, merger control and State intervention in the Economy (State aid cases, Article 106 cases and internal market issues).

Andrea Redondo Rodríguez, LL.M

Andrea holds an LL.M in European Law and Economic Analysis from the College of Europe (Bruges). Prior to that, she obtained a LL.B in French Law and Spanish Law jointly from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1) and University Complutense of Madrid. She also holds a BS.c in Economics and Finance from London School of Economics. Andrea has been a practicing lawyer for a number of years in an international law firm in Brussels specialised in EU and Competition Law and has extensive experience in other fields such an energy and environmental law and financial markets. Prior to that, Andrea interned within the European Commission at the Cabinet of Vice-President and Commissioner J. Almunia. Andrea is also a permanent contributor in a well-regarded law bulletin specialised in Competition Law. In her free time, Andrea very much enjoys nature and sports.

Robert Babirad, JD, MA

Robert recently received his MA in European Union Law (Merit) from King’s College, London.  He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma (Merit) in European Union Law from King’s College, London.  His Master’s dissertation focused on European Competition Law and Professor Richard Whish’s theory of regulatory ancillarity.  He is a Member of the New York Bar and holds a JD from Washburn University School of Law and B.A. in English (magna cum laude) from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.  Robert is interested in various aspects of EU Law, but particularly European Competition Law and the Single Market.  He has also written for European Competition Law Review and Global Competition Litigation Review.
